Territory Business Lockdown Payment Program

A new round of the Territory Business Lockdown Payment has been established to provide immediate financial support to businesses during the current lockdown period.

This payment is an amount of $1,000 and those eligible will need to submit a simple online application.

Impacted businesses can now apply for the payment, even if they accessed a payment in the first round.

Lockdown (round 2) payment is available from 17 August: A once-off extended closure payment of $1,000 will be made available to eligible businesses that have experienced a significant downturn in turnover or ordered to shut following the chief health officer’s (CHO) direction. Get the CHO Direction No. 42 of 2021 PDF (487.5 KB) on the Coronavirus website.

Important notice

Applications are now closed.

Territory businesses that have been approved for the lockdown payment (round 2) and have been directed to stay closed by the CHO due to extended COVID-19 restrictions will be contacted about the Extended Closure payment.

The $2000 one-off Extended Closure payment is in addition to the Business Lockdown Payment (round 2), which is a one-off payment of $1,000.

This now brings the total support to $3,000 for eligible businesses such as gyms and markets.
